Equine Education

This is a pilot program started in 2023 by Pilarcitos staff member Molly Schauer with the support from Pilarcitos Staff and in partnership with Mimi Mansour of MM Horses, LLC. In this weekly class, students learn about all aspects of equine care including grooming, training techniques, equine biomechanics, and Western horseback riding (optional). Throughout the year students will learn from professional guest speakers including equine veterinarians, chiropractors, farriers, trainers and more. Students will have the opportunity to explore career pathways in the horse industry after high school. The time, expertise and use of the horses have been generously donated by Mimi Mansour and the use of the facility has been kindly provided by Moss Beach Ranch.
