Coyote Farms Program Overview
Coyote Farms takes Pilarcitos High School students out of the traditional classroom and onto a diversified organic farm, where they learn business and marketing skills, hands-on science, and the importance of eating healthy, fresh, local food. Once a week students take the bus from school to nearby Potrero Nuevo Farm where the program is guided by the farm managers and teaching staff from Pilarcitos. Students are involved in the many activities of running a working farm, in addition to creating and selling farm products, and finally cooking with the produce they grow to make healthy snacks.
